First day of University

Hey guys, hope you're alright, it's been quite a while since I've blogged but at least now I've got something worthwhile to blog about, my first day of Uni.

Well, it was nothing like I imagined it to be and not as bad, well to a degree. I had expected maybe, something a bit more similar to the first day of school or college (sorry, to any non-Brits out there who don't get our educational system, no high school here) and you arrive in a small room with your class and everyone's judging and trying to gauge each other out. Nah, it turned out to be a busy corridor and hall, with everyone trying to figure out where they are supposed to be and what they're doing and not really caring about the people around them.

Still, that's probably better than the school environment, or at least it might have been if the Uni had not cocked up my scheduling. You see, I took a joint degree with two subjects and the uni did not really cater to this so now I have no idea what half of my timetable actually is which means I can't select my semester groups yet, which leaves another significant proportion of my timetable up in the air and I've only got a few days to fix it. It's all very stressful. Add to this the conundrum of friend-making and finding company it can be a wee bit overwhelming. Still, at least I've aired some of my grievances and have you guys or whoever might be reading as my sounding board. It'll probably be alright, just give it time. Anyway good luck and stay safe.

Catching up on lost time

Hey guys, it's a been a few weeks since I've written a blog, so bare with me, I might be a little rusty. I've had a few queries about my well being from a few of you guys, I've been alright thanks, actually my dog had an operation to remove a lump in her neck on Monday, which turned out to be just a fatty lump and not cancer! I'm relieved to say the least. Apart from that I've spent my time practicing the guitar, spending time with my fellow captain-friends and attended Chris's cool birthday bash( another happy birthday man!), growing hair and musing over why Conway Twitty's sideburns were so white and his hair dark. Anyway, that's all I've got for now. Stay safe and goodnight.

Folly farmer

Hey guys, I happen to live next to a farm, a small one though and the inbred retard that runs the place can't keep control of his chickens. We've been plagued by escaped chickens that keep wandering into our garden and street and aggressively attack us when we approach them. Well, as you'd expect the worst happened and a fox killed one last night, after hearing the noise we managed to scare away the fox only to have a big black shaggy dog devour the dead chicken instead. Shit happens, but I suppose it's the circle of life. Anyway, I thought this might interest you, though I doubt it will. Keep me posted on that hunt for the yellow shirt man and on that note I think I'll end this blog. Goodnight and stay safe.

Lynch the yellow-shirt man!

Serious stuff guys, the humble and quintessential rural town of Gorseinon has been plagued in recent days by a serial groper! The culprit (the one in the yellow shirt pictured left), has been responsible for a series of gropings upon the unsuspecting population of the town. Among the list of traumatized victims is myself, I have never felt so violated in my life. Therefore, Captain Surprise is offering a cash reward for bringing the heinous criminal to justice. Only vigilante justice will suffice, a mob lynch is preferable. Photographic evidence will be needed. Goodnight and Good luck.

The election, Captain Alex is going on holiday and most comments!

Hi guys, one or two announcements need to be made. Firstly, the nation's future appears to be plunged into uncertainty in the form of a hung parliament, due to no single party achieving a majority. The conservatives have succeeded in becoming the biggest party and have enjoyed a very considerable swing in votes in their favour, yet Labour might succeed in scraping a coalition together to prevent the Conservatives from attaining power, however this now seems unlikely. Either way, it's scary times folks!

Secondly and on a much lighter note, our very own Captain Alexander is going on holiday next week, there's no doubt that he deserves a break from the tough and challenging work he endures here at Captain Surprise every day and I hope he has a very cool holiday.

Thirdly, I'd like to thank you guys for commenting on my blogs so much! I now have more comments than any of the other Captains! I would like to think that's because I write quality blogs, but somehow I don't think that's case :( Anyway, in answer to some of your comments, no Lynn from Canada, I didn't buy the old man hat, me and the other captains found it and it's now a official captain surprise prop. It's also cool to get some feedback from Cure fans, I do love the band too. I've run out of ideas now, thanks again for the comments, don't hesitate in offering ideas for me to write about. Stay safe guys, goodnight and good luck.

A new Blog! And The Cure are a virus!

Hello guys, it's been a while since I wrote a blog, so I've caved into your demands for a new post. I'm not entirely sure what to write about, I'm fresh out of ideas. I suppose I could start by answering Kitty Kat's question, it's the least I can do, seeing she was kind enough to provide some useful info for my dreadlocks blog (thanks for that). In answer to your question, I'm afraid I won't be attending the Download festival because I'm broke. My fellow captain surprise buddies can attest for this, as they have witnessed for themselves, how I've been reduced to scrounging for old man hats (you can see one I found on my avatar picture) in public parks, as I am unable to afford my own. On a lighter note, I've rediscovered the Cure. They were one of my favourite bands and now that I've started listening to them again, I can't stop, they're like a virus. It's shame that so few people appreciate their music nowadays, but if there are any Cure fans out there, please don't be afraid to say so. Anyways, I've exhausted all of my ideas now and it's fairly late so I think I'll hit the hay, so goodnight and stay safe.

The LIVE show and some music stuff!

Hey guys, for those of you who didn't know Captain Surprise's Alexander Jones performed the website's first live show yesterday and was able to attract a total of 14 viewers!Admittedly it was probably a good thing that so few people tuned in because of the numerous technical difficulties that occurred, but don't worry this would be expected for a pilot episode. However, I would like to commend Alex's heroic performance, fighting through all the technical faults and his success in making the show very entertaining. I'm not entirely sure when the next show will be aired, but I'll make sure to keep you posted and the technical faults will probably have been dealt with by then.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my excitement for the lineup for the upcoming Download festival. There is a definite classic rock theme, with the presence of AC/DC and the attendance of Aerosmith and Slash! Although it might be a bit awkward for Slash due to the presence of the Stone Temple Pilots, whose singer Scott Weiland recently left Slash's band Velvet Revolver to rejoin STP. It's also cool to see Rage against the machine and Megadeth (haven't heard much of these guys lately) attending. Anyway, the Easter holidays is drawing to a close now, so I hope you guys had a good time, thanks and stay safe.

Thank you for the comments

Hi guys, I would like to thank you for all the positive feedback I've received for my blogs, especially all the useful advice concerning my dreadlocks blog. Admittedly, I was half-expecting a onslaught of hate-comments telling me how stupid I would be for getting the hairstyle. But I was surprised with the amount of genuinely helpful advice given, especially the Knottyboy website suggested by Karon, that was website answered a lot of my questions, thank you Karon. Not that I'm forgetting the comments contributed by everyone else and the support offered by Captain Surprise's very own Alexander Jones.
I would also like to take this opportunity to redress a fault in my meerkat manor blog that was pointed out by someone called Linda, yes you were right Shakespeare the Meerkat disappeared after the first season, he wasn't featured in the second season. I feel ashamed that I made such a greivious error and I don't want to talk about it again. Anyway, thanks again for all the comments guys and stay safe.

I need some advice

Hey guys, I was just writing this blog in the hope of getting some advice from you. You see I've been growing my hair for some time in the hope to eventually getting some nasty dreadlocks, any advice or information about growing them or maintaining them will be appreciated very much. I would also like to hear your opinions about this matter, though I'm pretty determined to get them so I doubt you'll be able to dissuade me, but I would still love to hear your opinions anyway, as long as they're not too negative and hurtful. Thank you and stay safe.

What Happened to Shakespeare the Meerkat?

Hello, I would just like to raise an issue which is very dear to me.

Fans of the engrossing saga which is 'Meerkat Manor', will remember the brave and scrappy furry man that was Shakespeare. Many a time, he proved his valor defending the family's pups and surviving poisonous puff Adder bites. But since the second season, the little guy mysteriously disappeared we were promised an answer, but we have been given no explanation for his fate.

Therefore, I write this post in an hope to gain not only an answer, but also to in the hope that this Meerkat's memory will not be forgotten. Rest in peace, little man.

Hello again

Hey guys, my name is Matt and i have recently been inducted into the Captain Surprise family as the fourth Captain. I am also the laziest and least productive Captain, but I assure you I will upload some videos as soon as some technical difficulties have been dealt with. I also enjoy stroking my pet dog, playing my guitar, red wine and hanging out with my Captain Surprise buddies. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your Easter and continue enjoying the services that Captain Surprise offers. Goodbye and stay safe.
